Diao (Ta Nanis Yaisamo), an orphaned young man skilled in Muay Thai, travels to the Southern Village following his father's dying wish. To raise money to help a friend, he competes in and wins a buffalo race and a boxing match against Ai Mad and Sompong. Furthermore, Tubtim, the village beauty, develops feelings for him, causing his rivals to deeply resent him. Later, Ai Diao attempts to stop Suea Men from stealing a Buddha statue's head but is ambushed and beheaded on the spot by Mad (Thanisorn Sattayamongkol) and Sompong (Prapadon Suwanbang). Amidst a fierce rainstorm, a lightning strike fuses the Buddha's head with his lifeless body. Resurrected as a 'Headless Ghost,' Diao sets out to seek vengeance against the religious defilers and his murderers to restore peace to the village, before his body finally vanishes with the morning sunlight.
